Woo-hoo! “Smoke and Mirrors” by Ed Coutts comes to a conclusion, Alina meets a Central American drug lord with lineart by Rob Jones and tones by Robert Beachler, the introductory Taryn story by Atula Siriwardane is completed, and two new tales of Lt. Li drawn by Jeff Austin and Bill Marimon, respectively, round out the issue! Available now at INDYPLANET!

So far, the critics have been pleased! Richard Caldwell at Comic News was the first to review VaVaVaVoom! and after reading both issues, the review was very favorable! Subsequently, Seb Piccione at Project Fanboy gave a positive review to Issue 2! Thanks to both of them for their time and effort!

VaVaVaVoom! Issue 2 – Convention Special

The Limited Edition – Convention Special – version of VaVaVaVooom! is off to the printer and will first be available for sale exclusively at Megacon in Orlando on March 7-9, 2008. This Convention Special contains a guest appearance by AC Comics’ Femforce in a story drawn by Eddy Newell which substitutes for Eddy’s not yet completed story slated to appear in the regular edition. Visitors to the Femforce-Femfans website have already seen a web-version of the story, titled “Trick or Treats!,” but this is the first time the story has been printed in comic book format.

Jungle adventure (Alina), pirates (Jennifer), superheroines (Sofia – The Ace!), and barbarian warriors (Taryn), round out the issue and it looks fantastic! Can’t wait to see the reaction of fans at Megacon!

One of the great things about the internet is the large number of images of beautiful women available for viewing. Here’s one that catches the eye with very much a “girl next door” kind of look. Her name is Dawn and a google search of Dawn’s Place would reveal much more information and a great number of images of her in states of greater undress! She indicates she’s natural, with no added enhancement, which makes her bountiful bod even more impressive. An inspiration for art!

I’ve got a few more story ideas for the Ace also in the works. As readers are learning, Sofia Pinero is a brilliant engineer and physicist, but she’s never quite fit in and generally tries to keep a low profile. As her costumed alter ego, though, she’s brash and overly confident, the opposite of her normal attitude! She finds playing heroine fun, but she’s starting to learn that this previously repressed side to her personality brings a share of trouble beyond just the ordinary dangers of fighting crime. It seems, the bad guys can’t wait to get their paws on the sexy, arrogant heroine and take her down a peg or ten. Below are a couple of images depicting scenes in future stories.

Yankee Girl Statue from Reelart Studios

Bill Black recently sent me some of the photos of the Yankee Girl prototype statue that will be used for the final version on sale from Reelart Studios. It’s gorgeous! I was one who would have liked a flying pose of some kind, but the completed statue is so well done and Yankee Girl looks so exquisite that I’m sold! The face is so lovely!
